56th Santosh Trophy 2000:
from 19.March upto 23.April 2000 in Thrissur & Chalakudy, Kerala

The 56th Santosh Trophy is being held for the second time in Thrissur, Kerala. 28 teams from all over the country were supposed to take part in the national state championships but six teams have pulled out. The pullout seems to become a normal feat. In the end, the surprise finalist Maharashtra beat the hom team of Kerala 1-0.
